Has anyone checked to see if Phil Taylor has the markings, 'Made In Taiwan' anywhere on his body? After demolishing Barney in a very one sided contest, the man from Stoke made it 14 World Titles and ended a glorious 12 months in style. He really is a freak and it baffles me how he can be so far ahead of the others. Okay, he practices - alot - but I'm sure most of the players do these days with the amount of prize money on offer, so what makes Taylor score 20 points more than the rest every 3 darts?
.
It has to be the psychological advantage he holds and the way he uses it for maximum effect. The pre-final interview revealed a significant amount when he admitted that at the first sign of weakness he would look to bully his opponent. Do all the top stars think this way? I'm sure they do, and when they have the game to back it up they become formidable opponents. If ever there was a man who deserved to win 'Sports Personality of the Year' then you'd need not look further than 'The Power'. Sadly, it seems that prize is one that will elude him.
.
Elsewhere, things have trickled along nicely. The NFL Playoffs results have so far edged in my favour and after adding LaToya Jackson to my Celebrity Big Brother portfolio I'm feeling a little more comfortable. An interesting few weeks lie ahead.

I play alot of cricket and the big thing when batting is keeping the eyes level and hiting the ball when inline with/under your chin. They say it optimises your brain's ability to judge speed, direction and tragectory.
Having watched Taylor I'm more than convinced he's one of the few darts players whose eye line is always levelwhen throwing and if you watch when he throws the dart he takes it all the way back to in front of his face and then throws. Pretty much the only player who does this. Have a look at the footage - Barney's throw comes from too far in front of his face which itself doesn't run parrallel o the board, whereas Taylor throws right from inbetween his eyes and while his body is side on his face is square on/parrallel to the board. Not too sure you'll find any of the top players throw like Taylor. What do you think Mark?
Cheers
Richard

Taylor's 9 darter
Hi there, I suppose you must be pissed off with Betfair, their charges and customer service and the general lack of competition in betting exchanges. I developed a website: www.betdaqrevolution.com we have a couple of members already even though the site is on for a couple of hours.
Check it out and please do sign in. It would be awesome if you could write something about the website on your blog and try to motivate people to sign in and take part in our experiment. Tell it to people you know as well. I know the website will not do a miracle but anyway it will raise awareness of Betdaq and that something is happening there. Plus it will show to Betfair that there is some resistance and this may make them think twice before any new scams. If you have any comments, suggestions, want to contribute an article please write to: contact@betdaqrevolution.com
Hi Richard,
I've noticed the same thing about Taylor and I'm sure that the way he holds his darts and the way he brings them back so close to his eyes has alot to do with his success.
However...
Have you tried throwing darts like that?!?! I found it very very difficult! :-)
All the best mate,
Mark
Hi Dariusz,
Good luck with the protest but unfortunately this is my quiet time of the year. Even if I did switch to Betdaq for a couple of weeks it wouldn't make much difference at the moment.
I hope you get plenty of others on board though.
All the best,
Mark
I understand. I hope you will join us if we get better liquidity over there. Could you at least write a sentence or two about it and give a link to the website? Every person is valuable and it creates awareness of Betdaq. Thanks
I finally did get it back up and running :)
Hopefully the quality of my posts get better, the first one back was terrible!
All the best,
Gareth
Hi Dariusz,
Yep, no problem - I'll mention it in my next post.
All the best,
Mark
Hi Gareth,
Great to see a green figure on your first post back and congratulations on the engagement!
I trust it's to a Merthyr girl?!?
All the best,
Mark
